Everything Everywhere All at Once

The preview was much better than the movie. The movie was okay. It goes on the premise of a theory in quantum physics about alternate and parallel universes. May science fictions movies and TV shows have taken this theme in their multitude of ways. Star Trek The Next Generation was one of the first to deal with this theme.

The idea is that for every decision, there is an infinite number of choices and outcomes. All those outcomes and choices that can happen, do happen in alternate realities. The movie had the story and the relationships, it just didn't have the emotional depth I thought it could go. The relationship with the daughter was the main point but they should have reinforced it with the relationship with the husband. That was the key to the whole movie yet they didn't really explore it. I think if they had, the movie would have had a much better emotional impact which is what I felt the movie was lacking. There were some really funny parts and excellent fight scenes. I felt more of the emotional impact with the trailer than the actual movie.

Jamie Lee was great. Michelle Yeoh was fantastic. They had all the right parts and the right story, it just lacked the emotional impact of the trailer.
